Origins - How Did I Get the Name Twitch?

Not necessarily a symptom of Essential Tremor, but a lot of our members report startling easily, Yours Truly included! When I was 16, my wonderful, dear brother was 13, he discovered my weakness: startling easily. He took advantage of that often and started calling me “Twitch.” It was annoying but totally funny.

Now we are both in our 40’s, he’s apologized - we didn’t know at the time this crap would get worse for me over time. I said no apology needed! I OWN this name and proud he gifted me such an apt nickname.

So, dear Bro, I thank you. Sincerely, I’m proud to be Twitch!
